I have suffered for many years from depression due to various medical and surgical episodes that have affected me in various ways. My depression continued through conventional treatments and psychiatric help, eventually turning to drinking spirits and then dependence upon alcohol. The effect on those around me was not pleasant to behold. With the support of family, doctor, friends and counsellors (I was lucky), I made a conscious decision to do something about it. My craving for alcohol continued but I managed to ignore it.

The effects in my case were almost immediate; my sleep was undisturbed and all my cravings for alcohol ceased within six weeks. My whole being seemed to have been helped. Just a note to say "Thank You" for introducing me to Neways, and the incredible transformation to my life in just five weeks.
When we met I was in the midst of a six–year bout of clinical depression, unable to make the simplest of decisions, such as whether to get up out of bed or stay there all day. I was popping pills all day to try and keep it together. I tried to hurt myself and cut my arms on more than one occasion.

During the worst period I was on twenty–one pills per day and was eventually admitted to a psychiatric unit and taken away from my children. I suffered from the shakes, as well as panic and anxiety attacks. Often I would not dare leave my room and venture outdoors.
